Indy 500 shows central Indiana at its best

From the Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Pacers to NCAA final fours and the hundreds of trade shows central Indiana hosts each year, none of it compares to what is about to take place this weekend in the Indianapolis region.

An estimated 500,000 people will descend on the circle city to witness the world's greatest spectacle in racing. The 91st running of the Indy 500 is this Sunday, May 27th, and the Indy Partnership will be entertaining guests from around the country, many who have not yet had the chance to witness the world's largest and most popular racing event.

We couldn't think of a better way to entertain our key target market than to invite a few of them to the IPL 500 Festival Parade, the Snake Pit Ball, and of course the race itself. Beyond networking and beyond exchanging business cards, this weekend is all about showing our guests what we Hoosiers are all about; big-time sporting events and hospitality. We want to show these key prospects that not only is it a good business decision to bring a business to central Indiana, but central Indiana is also a great place to live, work, and play.

While you and your friends head out to the track this weekend or head to your favorite place to watch a big time sporting event, please have fun, wear some sunscreen, bring your earplugs; but most importantly take a moment to stop, look around and soak up the size and scope of this event. We hope our guests will get to do the same amid 220 mile per hour, three-wide racing and 500,000 plus fans.
